Maeve’s Bat Mitzvah – October 2011

This was a busy Mitzvah weekend…2 wonderful celebrations, 2 different venues and 2 fabulous outcomes.

We used silver container to compliment the chairs and tie it all together.

Maeve’s favorite linen(and mine) was the Blueberry Helix…look how it sparkles.

Emma’s Bat Mitzvah

What a treat to work with Emma and her mom, Sarah to create a beautiful, yet fun celebration. Shades of purples and silver echoed throughout the room. Emma has her own sense of style and knows what she likes. After sitting down together and talking about the types of flowers she likes, I had a good idea of what we could do. We used flowers that were unique in shape but could also work together with some traditional ones.

They rounded out the evening with something sweet…..candy for all. Silver takeout boxes embellished with photos of a very young, Emma were a great sentimental touch.

Ride, Wine and Dine 2010

I was very excited to be a part of the 7th Annual Ride, Wine and Dine at the Boston Harbor Hotel, on Friday, October 8, 2010. Guests were invited to explore and savour food and wine from around the world. Featuring the cuisine of Daniel Bruce, Executive Chef, Boston Harbor Hotel, silent auction, rare wine lots, wine pairing dinners and much more…all proceeds to benefit the Pan-Mass Challenge.

The brilliant burgundy dahlias were fresh cut from the field of a local farm here in Lexington. They were spectacular, the picture doesn’t do them justice.

Hanging amaranthus, so lush and dramatic came to us from a farm in California and the local market brought us these great artichokes. Still the dahlias were the show stopper.  Its always fun to incorporate elements other than flowers to create a wonderful and interesting texture. These artichokes will serve as candles holders when all is done.

All lined up and ready to go. The Wharf Room will provide a stunning backdrop for the event with sweeping views of Boston Harbor.

The Registration table was fun with seasonal foliage and amber and burgundy orchids. All sitting upon a vase full of corks. It was fun and fitting. I’m sure the evening was a huge success and a great cause as well.

Marisa and Paul Wedding at Misselwood, Beverly Farms

What a beautiful day for a wedding by sea. The sun finally came through for Marisa and Paul. You couldn’t have asked for a more perfect setting for the ceremony.

Ceremony at MisselwoodThank goodness the breeze held off and those rose petals didn’t move. Although the flowergirl had a field day tossing them around at the conclusion of the ceremony. That was a great picture…so cute.

Marisa was a stunning bride wearing a beautiful Casblanca gown. She fell in love with Ivanka Trump’s flowers and we created a beauty for her to carry. Gorgeous white dahlias, hydrangea, escimo roses, callas, lisianthus and stephanotis with crystals.

Yellows and white were the color of choice to offset the light teal gowns. Little bunches of sunshine. The groomsmen were coordinated with a single yellow calla and billy balls. Love them!!!

Time to celebrate! Cocktails on the open patio and reception in the tent. I’m sure the party went on all night. Best wishes Marisa and Paul. Glad I could be a part of your special day.
